Move the slider to your weight today. The range below reflects what published GLP-1 trials report over roughly a year of treatment alongside diet and activity changes.
This is an illustration, not a prediction or a promise. Actual results depend on your starting point, which medication you're prescribed, dose tolerance, other health conditions, and how consistently you stick with the plan. Your provider will set realistic goals with you at your first visit.
Prescribing protocols are set and overseen by our medical director.
Lyan sees you each time — no rotating clinicians, no repeating your history.

Why this works when dieting didn't
GLP-1 medications work on the same hormone pathway your gut already uses to tell your brain you've had enough. Turn that signal up and the constant negotiation with food quiets down — you get full sooner, you stay full longer, and the 3pm snack drawer stops calling.
The medication is the easy part to get. What actually decides whether this works for you is titration: starting low, moving up at the right time, and having someone catch nausea, fatigue, or a stalled month before you quit over it. That's the part we do in person.
“Most people who fail on a GLP-1 didn't fail the medication — they were left alone with it. Dosing is a clinical decision that needs eyes on the patient.” Dr. Gidon Akler, MD — Medical Director, Slim Wellness Center

How it works
No referral. No insurance runaround. No waiting list.
A short health screener tells us whether GLP-1 therapy is a reasonable fit for you before you spend a dollar.
Alondra, our medical assistant, gets you on the books — often the same week — and walks you through pricing up front.
Weight, history, medications, and labs where indicated. Lyan evaluates whether treatment is appropriate and which medication makes sense for you.
You leave knowing exactly how to dose, what to expect in week one, and who to call when something feels off.
We adjust the dose as you go, manage side effects early, and track progress against the goal you set on day one.
Treatment options
Which one you're prescribed — and at what dose — depends on your health history, your goals, and how your body responds. That call gets made at your visit, not in a shopping cart.
The GLP-1 receptor agonist most people have heard of. A steady, well-studied starting point for appetite control.
A dual-action option that works on two appetite pathways. Often considered when more appetite suppression is warranted.

Google reviewQuestions, answered
The quiz screens for the basics — BMI, health history, medications, and conditions that would make GLP-1 therapy a poor fit. It takes about a minute and doesn't ask for payment information.
Passing the quiz isn't a prescription. It means it's worth having the conversation. The actual decision happens at your visit, after Lyan reviews your history and, where indicated, your labs.
Lyan Love McCullough, our Nurse Practitioner. She handles consultations, treatment planning, dosing, and follow-ups — so you work with the same provider from your first visit onward, under protocols set and supervised by our medical director, Dr. Gidon Akler, MD.
Plan on about an hour for the first visit. Follow-ups are much shorter.
No. Our program is self-pay, which is part of why we can see you this week instead of after a prior-authorization fight. You'll get the full cost before you commit to anything.
If you'd rather pay monthly, we work with Cherry and CareCredit.
Most patients settle into roughly one to two pounds a week once they're past the starting doses. Published clinical trials of GLP-1 medications report average total body weight reductions in the range of 10–20% over about a year when combined with diet and activity changes.
That's an average across thousands of people, not a guarantee for you. Starting weight, medication, dose tolerance, other health conditions, and consistency all move the number.
The common ones are gastrointestinal: nausea, constipation, diarrhea, reflux, and fatigue — usually worst in the first week or two after a dose increase, and usually manageable with timing, hydration, and eating adjustments.
Serious risks exist too, including pancreatitis and gallbladder problems. GLP-1 medications carry a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors and should not be used if you or a family member has a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2. Read our full GLP-1 safety information, and your provider will go through all of it with you before prescribing.
Yes, and that's the point. Dose changes, side effect management, and progress tracking all need a clinician looking at you, not a form. Visits are short and scheduled around your titration schedule rather than a rigid calendar.
You can stop at any time — there's no contract and no membership to cancel. We'd ask you to tell us first so we can taper you sensibly and talk about maintenance, because appetite usually returns when the medication stops.

Results vary. Weight loss ranges referenced on this page reflect averages reported in published clinical trials of GLP-1 receptor agonists used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Safety information. GLP-1 medications are prescription treatments used for chronic weight management in adults who meet clinical criteria. They may cause serious side effects, including inflammation of the pancreas, gallbladder problems, kidney injury, low blood sugar, and severe gastrointestinal reactions. In animal studies, these medications caused thyroid C-cell tumors; they should not be used by anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and do not undergo FDA review for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing. Tell your provider about all medical conditions and medications, including whether you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Read the full safety information.

Treatment decisions, including whether a prescription is appropriate, are made by a licensed medical provider following an in-person evaluation.
